 Ribolla
Tourism Association (RTA) is situated at Elim, opposite the
historic Elim Hospital, which happens to be the oldest
hospital north of Pretoria. The office is strategically
situated 24 km from the town of Louis Trichardt, en-route to
the Kruger National Park (Punda Maria) and Zimbabwe.
Ribolla is
a community based tourism Association, which was founded by
community members in Elim since 1995.
Our
objectives are:

To make
Elim a tourist destination

Development and marketing of tourism activities in the area

Establish cultural exchange between local communities and
tourists

Assist
in the development of Small Medium Micro Enterprises (SMME)
Ribolla
Tourism Association has members in different kinds of
categories such as pottery, sculptures, cultural villages and
tour operators. These are projects and individuals who are
members ranging from woodcarvers, bead workers, drum makers,
pottery, Youth Centre, cultural villages, lodges, basketries,
cultural dance groups and corporate.

Guided Cultural Tours
Cultural excursions between the Elim/Giyani and Venda region
can be arranged in accompany of qualified guides for a half
or full day. On the way, tourists can listen to the stories,
legends, myths and beliefs from locally born and bred guides
from the area.
