This national road links up Johannesburg with Durban at the Indian Ocean. Village Gossip, Estcourt

For the most part you have to pay toll. Alternative roads are often offered.

From Johannesburg to Durban you can take the old main road R 103 from Ladysmith. In Estcourt for example you can have a nice stop at Village Gossip coffee shop. Merinda has transferred the oldest building into a meeting point with atmosphere. Sometimes, she told us, the ghost of the old owner is sitting on a table of the café.
