National Road N 4
The N4 highway connects Botswana with Gauteng and Mozambique. This is a part of the so called "coast 2 coast" highway from the Altantic (Walvis Bay) to the Indian Ocean (Maputo).

• Botswana - A2, the Trans-Kgalagadi Highway
• South Africa - A 4 via Johannesburg, Witbank, Nelspruit to Komatipoort bordering Mozambique
• Mozambique - EN4 to Muputo at the Indian Ocean

Nelspruit
This town is know as the centre of the Lowveld. During the last few years it has rapidly grown into a modern town. Huge shopping malls and fine hotels are also used from Mozambiquans on their regular shopping tours to South Africa.
Nelspruit lies in the Crocodile valley and is surrounded by mountains. This is prime farming area for subtropical crops such as citrus, avokado, litchi, mango, nuts and tobacco.
Don't miss the Lowveld Botanical Gardens just out of town on the road to White River. More that 700 endemic plants can be admired.
Nelspruit is conveniently situated for day tours into Kruger Park, along the Panorama Route or the Kaapsehoop valley. Maputo is just 200km away (approx. 3 hours).

Kaapsehoop
From Nelspruit take the Kaapsehoop road for a drive through beautiful landscape up the escarpment to the old mining town of Kaapsehoop (approx. 30km). Experience interesting sandstone formations and enjoy sweeping views into the Kaapsehoop valley.
Kaapsehoop itself is a picturesque valley on top of the mountain. In this area wild horses can be seen. 

Valley of Death
While travelling from Nelspruit into the old gold mining town of Barberton you'll catch a magnificent view into the Kaap or Kaapsehoop valley after approximately 14km. This valley was known as the valley of death due to the malaria problems in the early days.
The Kaap valley enjoys a hot Lowveld climate. Some beautiful plant species abound in this area. The "Barberton Daisy" is meanwhile known around the world as Gerbera. Also the orchid shrub, or bauhinia galpinii, is prevalent in the valley.

Sudwala Caves
Approximately 30 kilometer outsite Nelspruit you will find that cave. En route to Witbank you take the turnoff into R539 direction Sabie. Guided tours daily.
