This road connects the capital Windhoek with Botswana in the East. Through Botswana the Trans-Kgalagadi Highway leads to the Northwest of South Africa. Round about 32 km outside town is the international Airport. The B6 is part of the "Coast 2 Coast" highway that runs from Swakopmund at the Atlantic Ocean to Maputo/Mozambique at the Indian Ocean.
