This National Park is situated between the rivers Ugab in the South and the Kunene in the North. The area is known for its bizarre sceneries. Ship wrecks along the coast line are a sign for the rough weather conditions. The Southern area of the reserve can only be visited with a valid permit. Several tour operators offer guided tours or fly-in-safaris.

Skeleton Coast Park/Terrace - & Torra Bay
These two camps run by the Tourism and Parks Board are famous for their fishing opportunities. Terrace Bay offers also guestrooms and full board. Torra Bay only provides camping facilities.

Cape Cross
Travelling North from Swakopmund past Henties Bay you’ll reach Cape Cross after approximately 115 km. The Portuguese seaman Diego Cáo, the first European to enter present day Namibia, erected a cross here in 1486.
Cape Cross is famous for its seal colony. Between October and December thousands of seals can be seen. Beware of the strong smell!
The female seals weigh up to 75kg whereas the males make it to 190kg in average and during mating season their weight can be doubled! Seals are living on smaller fish.
Further North the road leads you to Skeleton Coast Park. To the South near Henties Bay you can find the turnoff to Damarland via Uis.
